You get what you hit for.

If you hit for power you get power. If you hit for spin you get spin. If you hit for a combination you get a combination. If you hit for neither, you get neither. If you don't intend to hit your serve fast, you won't hit it fast. If you intend to learn to improve you will improve. "You get what you pay for.", and you get what you hit for. There's a price to be paid for all the shots, and if you know what the price is, and how to answer the question others ask of you on court, you have a much higher chance of succeeding if you intend to. That will stick with you, the next time you step onto a court.
