April 10, 2012, 7:10 pm - (1 year ago) A professional ranked 752 in the world(Lamine Ouahab), who never leaves Morocco, destroys everyone in qualies, then jacks up Robin Haase like he's a 4.0 player(3 and 2). Another guy ranked 544(Sergio Gutierrez-Ferrol) gets a lucky break and draws Rui Machado, he of the zillion match losing streak, and whacks him 2 and 1.
Six people in qualies had absolutely no ranking, or were considered inactive, and all lost 1 and 0, or 2 and 1, or something to that nature. Roberto Bautista-Agut, the all time greatest qualifer as I like to call him, gets a first round walkover, and two patsies to get to the main draw.
Seven players under the ranking of 100 are in the round of 16 now, and they all had players with horrible losing records this year, so they basically got the lucky draw.
